NASHIK :
A medical officer of the Nampur rural hospital here tested COVID-19 positive after which the hospital has been sealed while the staffers are being tested for the pandemic, authorities said on Wednesday.
Presently kept in an isolation ward, the medical officer along with family resides in the sealed city of Malegaon and used to travel to the Nampur hospital located in Baglan taluka of this district.
On April 12, the officer along with kin were asked to observe home quarantine, meanwhile, their swab samples were sent for testing. After two days, the reports were received and it was confirmed that the officer is infected.
In other preventive measures, the administration has appealed to the patients who frequented the Hospital to come forward and get themselves diagnosed for the contagion.
