Five more COVID-19 patients were detected in the city of Malegaon which was sealed since initial pandemic cases were found in individuals having no travel history. After a meet with the Malegaon administration, Collector Suresh Mandhare ordered to seal the place and conduct door-to-door checking to spot the infected persons, if any.
These five new cases have taken Malegaon’s COVID-19 tally to ten as five cases were detected earlier while one person died on Wednesday. The city’s civic body has undertaken vigorous contact tracing for the individuals who, in any way, communicate with these infected persons.
Presently, this district has eleven cases. Among 11 patients, one each is kept in isolation at District Civil Hospital and civic-run Dr Zakir Husain Hospital while the remaining nine are being treated at Malegaon General Hospital.
