COVID-19 cases cross 500-mark in district with 32 new patients

NASHIK :

Coronavirus cases in Nashik district crossed 500-mark after 32 new patients were detected in Malegaon on Wednesday. Among 32 new patients, three are police personnel. With this, pandemic tally in Malegaon has increased to 413, while it is 503 in the district.

On Tuesday (May 5) night, 42 patients were tested positive, including 17 from Malegaon, seven from Deolali Camp and two from Nashik city. A pregnant woman was among those three who died.

A total of 148 swab reports have been received on Wednesday. Of them, 115 have been tested negative, while 32 have been tested negative. The second swab report of two among the positive have been tested positive for the second time. With this, the total number of patients in the district has risen to 503 and a total of 131 suspects have been admitted to hospitals.

So far, 27,216 persons have been screened in the district. A total of 4356 swabs have been sent for testing so far. Of them, 3048 have been tested negative, while 503 have been tested positive. A total of 726 suspects are receiving treatment and 805 swab reports are still pending. 15 persons have died and 33 persons have been recovered.
