Corrupt PSI Jadhav shifted to central prison


Nashik : The police sub inspector which was caught red handed by the anti-corruption bureau sleuths while accepting a bribe of Rs. 50,000 was shifted to Nashik Road central prison yesterday after court remanded him to judicial custody.

PSI Niwant Jagatsingh Jadhav accepted the bribe from the complainant on Friday (Nov. 17) evening. The anti-corruption bureau did not found anything during search of his residence yesterday, sources informed.

A case has been registered against a couple and other two at Sarkarwada police station on March 5, 2015 for cheating in land deal. The maternal cousin is a witness in the case. PSI Jadhav was investigating into the case. He had threatened the witness to make him an accused in supplementary chargesheet and demanded the bribe of Rs. 50,000. The complainant then complained about this with the anti-corruption bureau.
