Corporators express disappointment over health problems


Satpur: Corporators expressed their strong disappointment over health problems in the area during a review meeting held under divisional prabhag committee chairperson Madhuri Bolkar.

MNS group leader Salim Shaikh, newly elected deputy chairperson of health sub-committee Yogesh Shevre, former house leader Shashikant Jadhav and corporator Pallavi Patil were present for the meeting. In addition, officials of various NMC departments were also present. Salim Shaikh stated that it is shameful that highest number of dengue patients were found in the area and expressed his disappointment. All NMC departments should work unitedly and to resolve this problem, he urged.

While suggesting that precaution should be taken that rainwater does not accumulate around decorations by Ganpati Mandals and chambers in Mandal areas should be cleaned immediately and to take care that they do not get choked, Shaikh suggested. He also asked for repair of non-functioning street lights.

Expressing his disappointment over underground sewage and ghantagadi problem, Shashikant Jadhav informed that ghantagadis are not arriving in the prabhag in time. Concerned contractor was warned over this.

The chairperson felicitated Yogesh Shevre for his election as deputy chairperson of health sub-committee. Divisional sanitary inspector Sanjay Gangurde, deputy engineer Sanjay Patil, Arvind Jadhav and other officials were present.
