NASHIK :

In a big relief to Nashikites, the Covid-19 warriors and the district administration, district guardian minister Chhagan Bhujbal on Monday revealed that the government has brough Coronavirus outbreak under control in the district and cases are also declining in hot-spot Malegaon. The administration should make a planning for situation normalisation as Covid is to become a part of our life and we’ll have to deal with the situation as and when arises.

“In the last fortnight, we have brought
Corona under control in the district. The battle against the disease will be a longer one. In the future, it will be a regular exercise to admit Covid patients and discharge them after making them free from Coronavirus. It will be a continuous process. Therefore, the administration should now plan for the fight against this highly contagious disease as well as for the day-to-day affairs of the general public and for the smooth running of the economic affairs, said food and civil supplies minister and district guardian Minister Chhagan Bhujbal.

On Monday, Bhujbal reviewed the situation about corona outbreak and lockdown 4.0 at the collectorate here.

“This is the first time that I have experienced such a problem while fighting a communicable disease like COVID-19. So I could understood the difficulties and hence learnt to overcome it with the help administration.

The situation of Malegaon, which was out of control till yesterday, is now completely under control. Patients are recovering fastly and at the same time the rate of finding new patients is also reducing significantly. At the same time, the situation in the rural areas of the district is also under control. The number of corona cases in Nashik city is negligible and hope that all of us will get out of this problem soon,” Bhujbal exuded confidence.

Pay salaries of workers

During the lockdown period, all the companies and establishments were closed except for those providing essential services. The Deputy Commissioner of Labour should look into the matter of nonpayment of pending wages/salaries to the employees. The management and the labour unions should sit together to find an amicable solution, Bhujbal instructed.

To take strategic decisions about powerloom

The closure of the powerloom in Malegaon is having a major impact on the economy and the lives of all the common people. Discussions are underway with the power loom owners and operators through the district collector and the district superintendent of police.

Recommendationswill be sent to the textile ministry seeking certain concessions and stimulus, Bhujbal added.
