CM relief fund collects Rs 247 cr in donations

MUMBAI :

COVID-19 crisis failed to subdue the spirit of people of Maharashtra as a whopping Rs 247 crore has poured in as donations in the CM relief fund till now, according to an official statement on Friday.

As Maharashtra has emerged as the worst-hit state from the pandemic, the staggering donations affirm that the citizens have displayed their collective determination in fending off against the contagion.

In his every address to the state, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has boosted the morale of people by assuring them that together we will be victorious in this “war against virus”.

Expressing gratitude for display of such resolute behaviour, the CM told that including the monetary aid, individuals are also catering to the needy by providing them with food among other essentials.

Donations to the CM relief fund bank can be made on account no 39239591720 set up with the State Bank of India.
