 Citizens showing signs of illess should come forward : DC Mandhare

“Ten patients admitted recently to the hospital for timely treatment are on the verge of recovery. They will be discharged soon. Although the number of Covid-19 positive cases in Malegaon town are increasing, patients with Corona like symptoms can be cured if the suspects approach the hospital on time.

Our health system has the full capacity to cure them. Therefore, citizens should contact the hospital immediately if they have any symptoms of the disease without any fear or misunderstanding,” appealed District Collector Suraj Mandhare while reviewing the preparations to tackle COVID-19 pandemic.

Meanwhile, considering the increasing number of patients infected with the coronavirus in the city, the newly constructed houses of MHADA will be used in the suburbs of the city, said Mandhare yesterday. He inspected the newly constructed houses in Mhalade Shivar and inspected newly set up facilities there.

He was addressing the concerned officials at the additional collector’s office. Head of the Emergency Operation Center, Dr Pankaj Ashiya, additional collector Dhananjay Nikam, deputy collector Arvind Anturlikar, sub-divisional officer Vijayanand Sharma, deputy commissioner Nitin Kapadnis, tehsildar Chandrajit Rajput, Shivkumar Avalkanthe and others were present.

Speaking on this occasion, Collector Mandhare said that the facilities provided by the corporation should reach out to the grassroots citizens in the containment and buffer zones, by making full use of the available manpower and volunteers.
