Cherring Dorje is new IG of Nashik range


Nashik: The special Inspector General of Police (Nashik range) Vinoy Choube has been transferred as the joint police commissioner of state economic offences wing. Additional Commissioner of Mumbai Dr. Cherring Dorje will take charge as new special IG of Nashik range, while Aswathi Dorje has been appointed as director of Maharashtra Police Academy, which remained vacant since a year.

The government issued transfer orders of 9 senior officials in the state on Wednesday. Besides this five IPS officials have been transferred on promotion. Choube took charge as IG of Nashik range on January 1, 2016. He can take charge of new post on June 1, expressed the sources.

Meanwhile, 71 PSIs in the state have also been transferred. Pradip Wakchoure in Nashik city commissionerate has been transferred to special security department at Mumbai. Four new PSIs will come to Nashik from other districts. They are Bhagwan Koli and Gautam Wabale from Amaravati city police, Pramod Pawar from Palghar and Yuvraj Gire from state intelligence bureau.
