Satpur : “If we want to become successful in life, we should change our attitude,” opined international coach of Iscon International Swami Gaur Das. He was speaking during presentation of awards by Institution of Engineers Nashik Local Centre to those engineers who made remarkable work in various fields.
Director general of Armaments and Combat Engineering Pravin Mehta, chairman of Institution of Engineers Nashik Local Centre Manish Kothari, honorary secretary Sumit Khivansara, joint secretary Vipul Mehta and Ajit Patil were present on dais. While informing about various ways to get successful, Swami Das cited various examples in daily life. He emphasised especially on change in attitude. Pravin Mehta expressed his views on the concept ‘engineers’ role in developing India’. He also informed about production capacity and quality in defence sector in India. Meanwhile, prestigious outstanding engineers award was present to chief executive officer of HAL Daljeet Singh.
Besides this, five lady engineers were among those 14 engineers who were honoured with the awards. The winners of essay competition which was organised on the subject ‘engineers’ role in developing India’ were awarded by the chief guests.
Shrikant Bachhav compered the programme, while Sumit Khivansara proposed the vote of thanks. Santosh Mutha introduced the guests. NIMA president Mangesh Patankar, NICE chairman Vikram Sarda, Maharashtra Chambers of Commerce and Industry president Santosh Mandlecha, NIWEC chairman Rajkumar Jolly, former chairman Sandip Sonar, former AIMA president Dnyaneshwar Gopale, Suresh Mali, chairman of Vishwas bank Vishwas Thakur, office bearers of various associations and industrialists were present in large numbers.
Vishwas Darade (WRD); Dr. S T Gandhe (Sandip Foundation); Ganesh Patil (Mahindra and Mahindra); Yuvraj Bhirud (SNJB college Chandwad) and Unmesh Gaidhani were honoured with the Achievement Award. Siddharth Ravindran (DRDO Ojhar); Dr. Nilesh Patil (Jalgaon); Taral Katiyar (HAL); Ankush Jajoo (Nashik) and Sagar Sonawane (Bosch Ltd. Satpur) were honoured with Promising Engineering Award.
Sukhada Raut (Crompton Greaves); Shweta Bhamre (Bosch Ltd. Nashik) and Kavita Jogalekar were honoured with Lady Engineers Award.
Essay competition winners Jayant Wavhal (Bosch Ltd.) and Gayatri Chaturvedi (Matoshri polytechnic) were also awarded by the chief guests.
