Nashik: The long-pending project at Gangapur Dam, Nashik Boat Club will start very soon in full fledges. The provision of Rs 1 crore has been made for the Boat Club in the recent District Planning Committee (DPC) meeting.
Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) has also come in action after funds have been provided by the district administration. It has said that within a month or two the project will be started. MTDC had demanded funds for the Boat Club for its revival in recent DPC meeting.
Accordingly, the funds of Rs! crore was allotted for the project as expected. The Boat Club is a dream project of District Guardian Minister Chhagan Bhujbal and it was known that the project will be revived after his arrival.
The sources from MTDC said that we had demanded only Rs 1 crore for the revival of the project which has been finally provided. With these funds the maintenance of the boats will be done some touch works will be done on the infrastructure and within a month or two months, the project will be ready to run.
The project is said to support the economy of the Nashik and will become a tourist attraction as soon as it get started.
