BJP gets second highest votes from Nashik east
Nashik: Saffron alliance candidate Hemant Godse got second highest votes from Nashik east state assembly constituency, followed by Nashik west constituency. Sameer Bhujbal and Bahujan Vanchit Aghadi candidate Pavan Pawar did not get the expected votes.
Panchavati, Mhasrul, Adgaon, Makhmalabad, Nandur village, Jail Road and western part of Nashik Road are falling under this constituency. Of the total 24 corporators, BJP has 19 corporators in this constituency. Shiv Sena has its single corporator here.
BJP’s Balasaheb Sanap is MLA in this constituency. After the creation of this constituency, MNS’ Adv. Uttamrao Dhikale had elected as MLA from here. However, MNS had failed to retain its bastion during the Modi wave. It was being considered that the saffron alliance would hit due to disappointment among farmers here.
Followed by the Maratha community, Vanjari and Gujarati communities are a decisive factor in this constituency. As Sharad Pawar was in contact with the Vanjari community at the start, Bhujbal had major expectations from this constituency.
Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi’s Pavan Pawar had expected to get good voting from his home ground and slum area in the Nashik Road area. However, Bhujbal got 40,859 votes, while Pavan Pawar received 9,095 votes, leading to their disappointment. Godse got a decisive 1,17,127 votes from this constituency.
