Nashik : Ashoka Universal School (AUS) cricket team won the first T-20 match comprehensively against Green Lawns High School (Mumbai) by 65 runs in an enthralling game during the 3rd AISM T-20 Cricket Tournament in Mumbai.
AUS team looked to be in charge and even more so earlier in the match when they won the toss and elected to bat first. The bat dominated ball for most of the earlier sessions, as AUS team scored 145 runs in 20 overs, with brilliant batting performance by Ahmed Kachhi (44), Moiz Khan (28) and Aditya Laddha (21*).
In reply, Green Lawns High School batsmen also batted well, until their innings was shattered by AUS bowler Pritham Roy who took 3 wickets and crumbled the opponent’s innings along with Aman Hadap, Varad Chandarana and Ved Sanap each bagging 1 wicket.
Green Lawns inning ended at 80 for 7 wickets, falling a massive 65 runs short of their target, giving Ashoka Universal School a significant victory. The school management congratulated the team and their coach Ravi Jadhav for this win and wished them all the best for the upcoming matches in the tournament.
