Nashik : The PAViLiOn at the Gangapur dam Sea plane Terminal and Boat club designed by Architect Rohan Deore has been awarded the prestigious Arcasia Award at the grand event held at Jaipur. Arcasia is the Architects Regional Council of Asia with 21 member countries through their national institutes of Architects. The Award aims at acknowledging exemplary work at the Asia level. This award has brought Nashik at the international level in Architecture.
The Arcasia Forum was hosted by IIA, Jaipur this year and was attended by Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu, Vasundhara Raje and many dignitaries and architects from all over the world. Architect Deore’s design was awarded from amongst the 728 entries received from the 21 Asian member countries in 10 different categories. The event has special significance as Arcasia was celebrating its 50 years since inception.
Rohan Deore has also designed Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Sapkal Knowledge Hub, Sahyadri Farmers Producers Company and many other campuses. He has received several awards and nominations including 2016’s Indian Institute of Architects National award, NDTV design award and Trends Design Award.
