Admission process for std XI to be conducted in two stages


Nashik: The centralised online admission process for std XI will be started for first time from June 2. This process will be conducted in two stages. In first stage, individual information of students will be filled up from schools from June 2 to 10 and college admission process will be conducted in second stage. Information booklets will be distributed to students through schools from June 2.

A workshop of school headmasters regarding admission process for std XI was held at Raosaheb Thorat hall on Gangapur Road. Deputy education director Ramchandra Jadhav, convener of admission process S G Awari, R G Jadhav, assistant education director Dilip Govind, education officer (secondary) Nitin Upasani, deputy education officer S G Mandlik, Sunita Dhangar, A M Bagul and K D More were present. Vaibhav Sarode through slide show informed about online admission process.

The admission process will take place in two stages. Part I of the application form has to be filled from the schools from June 2 in first stage. Primary information like name of student, his address, mobile number, e-mail and category will be there. After verification by headmaster, printout of the application will be printed. Students have been given time till June 10 to file this application form. Part II in the application form will be conducted within 10 days after declaration of SSC results online. Preference about faculty and college can be registered in it. Schools will get information booklets before May 31st. They will be distributed by schools to the students and parents from June 2. The fee of the booklet will be Rs. 150. Students will be given log-in ID and password will be given from these booklets. It is mandatory for students to show SSC examination hall ticket to purchase this booklet.

Meanwhile, 24,000 seats are available in 54 junior colleges in the city. Students have to file online application from schools only. Students of other education boards can file application through guidance centres. After registration of form, education department will send SMS on mobile.
