DEOLALI CAMP: A Solar Dual Water Pumping Project at Shendripada in Trimbakeshwar taluka was inaugurated yesterday, constructed with the local development fund of MP Hemant Godse, given the shortage of drinking water for villagers.

A few days ago, MP Godse took note of the raging drinking water problem in Shendripada on social media and set up a solar dual water pumping project to help the villages. Before this project, the women of Shendripada in Kharshet gram panchayat of Trimbakeshwar taluka used to fetch drinking water from springs in the village suburbs.

They needed to cross dangerous paths, including a log’s usage to cross a steep valley. Due to frequent power cuts and lack of water storage facilities, the villagers were suffering immensely. It was due to social media that their misery came out to the fore, and politicians decided to help. State Tourism Development Minister Aditya Thackeray was also upset after witnessing their plight and had instructed the local people’s representatives to pay attention to these issues.

Therefore, Godse enquired about the village’s water shortage problem and decided to help. He immediately provided Rs 4.5 lakh from his local development fund and constructed a solar dual water pumping project at this place. MP Godse inaugurated the project. Sena taluka chief Sampat Chavan, Samadhan Bodke, Sagar Desai of Green Grid Pvt Ltd. and various citizens were present at the inauguration ceremony.
