The country has standstill due to the outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus or Covid-19. The country has been locked down till April 14 by the government. All malls, theaters, garden, shops and everything which can be available in normal lifestyle has been closed. Only essential services are available in-country, state and district as well.
The post office services are closed after orders from the government. Only the money monetary transactions are currently available at post office. The services like lettering, couriers, speed post and money orders are totally shut by the Indian Postal Services. The citizens can only deposit or withdraw their money from postal saving accounts, informed Post Office officials.
The postal service have been affected by the outbreak of the Covid-19. The lockdown has caused the cancellation of all the trains, private transport services. The services have been closed due to the suspension of the train services. The mails, couriers and other services of the post are provided from trains and due to lockdown, the postal services are shut.
The postal offices will be opened every other day. As there are only five per cent government officials are allowed to work the services are also closed due to that. The post office is seemed silenced due to Covid-19 effect.
