Following the issuance of guidelines by University Grants Commission (UGC) about examinations, Higher and Technical Education Minister Uday Samant has clarified that examination time table will be declared in next two days. A meeting of all Vice-Chancellors will be held about this and a final decision may be taken in it.
Following the announcement of lockdown in the country to contain the spread of coronavirus, examinations of universities and colleges have been delayed. As a result, students were worried. To solve this issue, UGC has formed two committees some days ago.

After these committees tabled their report to UGC, a special meeting of UGC was held in New Delhi. After the meeting, UGC took a final decision and tabled guidelines about this to union human resources ministry.
According to this report, universities and colleges have to conduct examinations in the period between July 1 to 31, 2020. This is not mandatory fully and universities have been allowed to take a decision taking local condition into account.

The state government has also formed a committee under Vice-Chancellor of Mumbai university Dr Suhas Pednekar to solve this issue. Following the issuance of guidelines by UGC, this committee has started to work and a final decision about this will be taken soon.

The state Higher and Technical Education Minister will conduct a meeting to discuss the issue and final decision may be taken in it. As a result, it will be known soon whether examinations are held or not.
