NASHIK :
A 68-year-old man, who was admitted at the isolation ward of the civil hospital here with symptoms of Coronavirus infection on his return from New Zealand, tested negative for the same on Monday.
The patient, who originally hailed from Nashik, came here from New Zealand via Mumbai on February 29.
A week later, on March 7, he was admitted to a private hospital in the city, after he complained of cold and a problem with breathing. From there, he was shifted to the isolation ward of civil hospital on March 8.
His swab sample was sent to government lab at Pune for testing, the report of which received here today stated ‘negative’ for infection.
According to sources in the hospital, this is the fifth case of suspected Coronavirus in Nashik. They all tested negative for the same, it was stated.
