3,000 industries get permission in Nashik

NASHIK :

Following orders by the government to restart industries in the state, around 3,002 industries have sought permission to restart them. Of them, 1600 industrialists have restarted their industries, informed regional MIDC officer Nitin Gavali.

For the last few days, discussions were rife over the restart of industries in the state. Industrialists were also in the confused state over the restart of their industries considering stringent guidelines by the government.

A total of 3,002 industries applied online to get permission for restart. Permission to all these industries has been given on self-declaration. Of them, 1600 industries have started a process for restart.

MIDC has issued permission passes for 442 vehicles, Gavali also informed. Mahindra and Mahindra, ABB, Siemens, Samsonite, Epcos, TKES, Jindal Saw Ltd, Jindal Polymer and various other larger industries have started preparations to restart their production process. If larger industries start their production process, small scale industries will also get momentum to some extent.

District Industries Centre is conducting inspection whether government guidelines are followed or not in the industries. Deputy labour commissioner office and industrial safety department is monitoring industries regarding safety measures for workers.

There is large scale manufactured goods in the godown of Samsonite company. The raw material is also available to restart production process. In the first phase, time will pass in cleaning industrial area. Thereafter momentum will be given to the production process considering demand in the market in the upcoming period.
