Nashik: The swine flu has reared its tentacles in the city. 30 patients suffered from swine flu in the last 12 days and three succumbed to it. Following a rise in a number of patients with a change in weather, citizens are panicked.
Public health department urged citizens that they should avoid going to places of a rush.
The number of dengue patients rose above 114 in August alone. The number of patients showing dengue-like symptoms is increasing in many private hospitals in the city and information is being given to the health department of Nashik Municipal Corporation if the patient is serious.
As a result, a number of patients are on the rise and in a standing committee meeting it came to light that the health department has no information about measures and patients. The members from all parties objected to pest control work and alleged that infectious diseases are on the rise. On the backdrop of this, the mayor convened an urgent meeting and issued orders to take measures for prevention of dengue.
In addition to this, as many as 30 patients found suffering from swine flu in the period from September 1 to 12 and three patients died. Total 46 swine flu patients have been found between January 1 to September 12. A relative of a corporation in Panchavati was among those three who succumbed to the disease in the last 12 days.
