22 new cases identified in district

NASHIK :
With identification of 22 new cases on Saturday in Nashik district, the pandemic tally has mounted to 924, which include eight positive reports of patients from the city.
On the other hand two patients succumbed to the disease, one from Samatanagar in Takali, while other from Trimbakeshwar tehsil. With this death toll in the district climbed to 48. As 19 patients got cured, the number of those recovered has increased to 673.
Among those 22 cases, eight are from Nashik city, six from Malegaon, while other patients are from rest district.
Corona is spreading fast in Nashik city in the last three days. 12 patients were found on Thursday, while 11 patients had tested positive on Friday and eight new patients added to the tally on Saturday.
Among them are four from Naikwadipura in Bhadrakali area, one each from Shivajiwadi in Wadala on Pathardi road, Samata Nagar, Takali, Nirman Villa in College Road area and Maharana Pratap Chowk in New Nashik. As a result, the tally of Nashik city has surged to 75. With detection of six positive patients, tally in Malegaon has mounted to 701.
Among 11 new cases from rural areas from the rest district on Friday, two are from Manmad, two from Pangri in Sinnar tehsil, two from Ugaon and one each is from Kankori, Chandwad, Yeola and Mauje Sukene. A total of 55 suspects have been admitted.
Meanwhile, a 54-year-old patient from Takali area in Nashik city died on May 22 at district civil hospital. He was suffering from diabetes and cardiac disease. After receiving his swab test reports, it turned positive, informed additional district civil surgeon Dr Nilesh Jejurkar
