16-year-old boy murdered at Jail Road


Nashik Road: A 16-year-old boy was murdered by 20-25 youths around 4 pm at Mangalmurti Nagar in Jail Road yesterday. As he received serious injuries, he was admitted to Bytco hospital for treatment, but doctors declared him dead.

The name of the deceased was Tushar Bhaskar Sabale (16), resident of Panchasheel Nagar, Kasara. It is understood that he is a native of Kalyan. After his SSC examination was over, Tushar had come to his aunt Sangita Bhausaheb Jadhav (resident of Harsh Society, Mangalmurti Nagar).

Tushar, his cousin Akshay and 4-5 other friends were seated on a bench around 4 pm. At that time 20-25 youths arrived there in a Maruti Omini van, Maruti Alto and two-wheelers. They fired some rounds in the air. Tushar, Akshay and their friends ran away from the spot, but these youths chased Tushar and attacked him with sharp-edged weapons.

As Tushar was seriously injured in the attack, he was admitted to Jairambhai hospital first and was admitted to Bytco hospital thereafter, but doctors declared him dead. As relatives of Tushar gathered in large numbers at the hospital, the situation became tense. Senior police inspector Pandharinath Dhokne and his colleagues rushed to Bytco hospital and brought the situation under control.

Police Commissioner Dr. Ravinder Kumar Singal, DCP Shrikrishna Kokate, senior police inspector of Upnagar police station Bajirao Mahajan and other police officials rushed to the spot. Upnagar police were registering a case in connection with this till late in the night.
