1500 schools in district selected under Sagun Vikas project

NASHIK :

A total of 1500 low grade schools and another 1500 schools run by various managements in Nashik district have been selected under Sagun Vikas project, which is a joint initiative by central and state governments.

The purpose of the project is to make tunning between two schools to improve quality of weaker school. The aim is to make interaction between two schools, to bring students together, exchange of knowledge and experience, to create friendly and healthy atmosphere in schools and to achieve development all addressing strengths and weaknesses.

The Sagun project is being conducted in the district under primary education officer of Zilla Parishad Dr Vaishali Zankar and senior lecturer Yogesh Sonawane.

Sagun project is important to bring educational changes. Students will get innovative education opportunities in healthy and friendly atmosphere.

The meetings of district and taluka merit cells will get importance due to Sagun Vikas project. It will help in bringing objectivity and transparency in work of all zonal officials and employees. This will encourage to do target oriented work. In addition, it will help in improving rank of state in evaulation at national level.

With participation of minimum 50% schools (1500) at primary level, education quality in the district will be improved.
