11 ambulances will help in freeing Malegaon of COVID-19 : Bhuse

A total of 11 ambulances have joined in service of citizens in Malegaon to provide immediate service to COVID-19 patients. Health-related service will be provided to citizens through these ambulances. These ambulances will visit various parts of the city and will conduct free health checkup of patients there and will provide medicines to them. During this drive, as patients suffering from coronavirus like symptoms will be given first-aid and they will then be admitted to a government hospital, they will help in freeing Malegaon city of COVID-19, confided state Agriculture Minister Dada Bhuse on Saturday.

Drive doctor at your doorstep, a joint initiative by Bharatiya Jain Sanghatana, Force Motors, Maharashtra government, Malegaon Municipal Corporation and all doctors associations was inaugurated on Saturday at government rest house here. Bhuse was speaking at that time.

Mayor Tahera Shaikh, Divisional Commissioner Rajaram Mane, District Collector Suraj Mandhare, Assistant District Collector and incident manager Dr Pankaj Ashiya, special Inspector General of Police (Nashik circle) Dr Chhering Dorje and other officials were present on the occasion.

Bhuse further said that this service has been started in service of residents in coordination with administration, identifying the need of mobile van service. As there will be reporting of each van, report about treatment on a number of patients and the areas will be received. There is focus on the patients having symptoms like COVID-19 and SARI, he added.

Divisional Commissioner Rajaram Mane said that these vans will definitely be helped in improving the health condition of COVID-19 patients.

District Collector Suraj Mandhare stated that while fighting with COVID-19 in Malegaon, service by private doctors was falling short. There was a need to seek help from outside. Following discussions with Bharatiya Jain Sanghatana’s Shantilal Mutha, he lent a supporting hand. The facility of 108 ambulances will be made available in association with them. As a facility to treat COVID-19 and non-COVID-19 patients will be made available, non-COVID-19 patients will no more be neglected, he added.

Divisional Commissioner Rajaram Mane and District Collector Suraj Mandhare visited Mansuri hospital. Thereafter they inspected new hospitals and quarantine hospital which have been established in Malegaon central area. Minister Dada Bhuse and Divisional Commissioner Rajaram Mane distributed sanitizers and masks to police personnel, Malegaon Municipal Corporation and other departments on behalf of social organisations.
