Satpur : Regional MIDC officer Hemangi Patil planted saplings at ‘D’ sector during tree plantation programme organised by Ambad Industries and Manufacturers Association.
Joint director of district industries centre P P Deshmukh, deputy joint director Umeshchandra Dandgavhal, executive MIDC engineer G B Uike, president of Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture Santosh Mandlecha and AIMA chief Rajendra Ahire were present.
While discussing industrial problems, Santosh Mandlecha demanded to remove encroachments by kiosk owners in industrial area. AIMA under leadership of Nikhil Panchal had implemented concept of ‘Clean Ambad-Green Ambad’. Ambad Industrial area looked green due to this. AIMA planted nearly 5,000 trees on a place near AIMA Recreation Centre.
Former NIMA president Dhananjay Bele demanded to reserve land along Ambad industrial area for industries and make fencing around vacant plots to prevent encroachments on them.
While holding discussions with all office bearers, Hemangi Patil praised work by AIMA. “AIMA decided to make Ambad green. I also decided to make clean MIDC, green MIDC,” she said and assured to take measures regarding reservation of land for industries, rising encroachment in industrial area, fencing around vacant plots and to resolve other problems.
Measures will be taken about removing encroachment in Ambad, Satpur and Sinnar industrial area, informed Uike. AIMA general secretary Nikhil Panchal, vice chairperson Nilima Patil, former president J M Pawar, S S Anand, J R Wagh, former NIMA president Dhananjay Bele, chairman of AIMA environment committee U N Sharma and industrialists were present.
