Satpur : As per a circular issued by the Regional Transport Office (RTO), it has now become mandatory for motorists to impart training at Nashik First’s Children Traffic Education Park (CTEP) to obtain driving licence.
The park set up by the Nashik First and Nashik Municipal Corporation jointly at Mumbai Naka here has been designed for the age group of 18 to 25 to spread road safety and traffic awareness.
The new learning licence holder who applies for permanent driving licence will have to mandatorily go through training with the help of car driving simulator system. Sub-regional transport officer Bharat Kalaskar took a final call on this and issued orders for its effective implementation through a circular published on June 17, 2017.
“As per the guidelines issued by the Road Safety Committee of the Supreme Court, we are sure that the rate of accidents will reduce by 10% every year,” said Abhay Kulkarni, chairman, Nashik First.
