Take back cases against farmers, warns Shiv Sena


Nashik : Attempts were made to give violent turn to farmers’ strike in Nashik district. False cases were registered against farmers. Take back cases filed against poor farmers immediately, demanded district unit of Shiv Sena to District Collector Radhakrishna B.

The delegation of district Shiv Sena chief Vijay Karanjkar, district rural chief Bhaulal Tambde, MP Hemant Godse, MLA Rajabhau Waje and MLA Yogesh Gholap met the District Collector. They demanded to take cases against farmers back.

Farmers are on strike from June 1. Farmers intimated government about this. This strike has been called to press for their demands, but some miscreants tried to give violent turn to this strike. Cases were filed against poor farmers through this. Cases like robbery were filed against them. This is harmful for democracy. Government and police should stop this immediately and take all cases back against them and they should be released or agitation will be staged, warns the memorandum given to the District Collector.

ZP chairperson Shital Sangle, metropolitan chief Ajay Boraste, NMC group leader Vilas Shinde, Raju Lavate, D D Suryawanshi and others were also present.
