Nashik : School of Commerce & Management, Sandip University organised a one-day seminar on GST – Grievance & Redressal Mechanism recently. The major focus of the seminar was to provide a Grievance Redressal Forum to Industry practitioner regarding GST. H A Bhakre, State Joint Commissioner – Sales Tax, M L Patil, State Deputy Commissioner and Pradeep Peshkar, President, Udyog Mitra Sanstha were the guests for the seminar.
Colonel (Dr.) N Ramchandran, Vice Chancellor, Sandip University and Dr. S T Gandhe, Principal, SITRC felicitated the guests. Dr. N Ramchandran in his welcome speech thanked all the guests for accepting the invitation and said it is a good move and initiative taken by government to bring the nation under one tax.
Pradeep Peshkar while addressing the gathering said, “GST is good but we need to wait for some time to check its simplicity.” M L Patil in his speech gave some insights about GST such as what is GST and why GST. He also explained various terminologies used in GST. He highlighted the topic of CGST and IGST. He also said that there are many people who are not expertise in the field of GST are spreading wrong message and people are unnecessary getting panic. The remedy he told for this is to refer the proper website and read books.
Lastly H A Bhakre took over the dais for solving the query and issues of the industry practitioner related to GST. He in very simple and lucid language explained the concept of GST. He successfully solved the queries asked by the audience. Finally, he said that there are still various issues which need to be cleared and resolved .
Dr. Sandip Kumar Jha, chairman, Sandip Foundation appreciated the efforts and motivated to organise more seminars of such kind to create more awareness about GST.
