Revenue employees go on indefinite strike

Nashik : The revenue employees across the state have started indefinite strike since Tuesday to press for their various demands which are pending. 843 employees in the district are participated in it. As a result, various departments in the district collectorate wore a barren look on Tuesday.

The state government has decided to fill up 50% supply inspector posts through direct recruitment process. Due to this, there will be injustice against senior clerks in supply department which are waiting for promotion since last four years. Employees unions are disappointed after this decision.

Meanwhile, the revenue employees came together on Tuesday morning at entrance of the district collectorate and raised anti-government slogans to condemn the decision. Citizens who came to the district collectorate faced inconvenience as they were unaware about the strike. The District Collector and other officials stayed in their offices to continue daily routine.

The state government is reportedly preparing to issue show cause notices to the employees. This is an effort to crush the agitation, alleged office bearers of the unions.
