Nashik Road : Nashik Road and Upnagar police stations observed ‘no horn day’. Vehicle riders should not blow horn without good reason, urged Police Commissioner Dr. Ravinder Kumar Singal.
He stated that if citizens and police come together, goondaism and crime will be curbed and peace will be established in society. K M More compered the programme.
Dr. Singal informed that horn is used in Europe rarely. Mental peace of driver and citizens will be disturbed and mishap can happen, if horn is used continuously. Two-wheeler riders should wear helmet. Rickshaw drivers should behave with citizens very well and give priority to their safety, he asked.
Corporator Sharad More urged vehicle drivers that they should not blow horn. Meanwhile, the Police Commissioner honoured those who wore helmet with rose flower.
Corporator Sharad More, former corporator Ashok Satbhai, DCP Laxmikant Patil, Shrikrishna Kokate, ACP Mohan Thakur, police inspector Pandharinath Dhokne and PSI T M Rathod were present for the programme organised by Nashik Road police station at Inglenagar square.
