Deolali Camp: Deolali Camp, which is known as hill station, is reeling under scorching summer heat. Neem tree is playing an important role in environmental balance, stated Tanaji Bhor who received Vanashri award from state government.
Marking the World Environment Day, Om Sai charity organisation and Bhor nursery jointly planted saplings in campus of cantonment board hospital. Chief executive officer Vilas Pawar, health officer Dr. Jayashri Natesh, Ganesh Maharaj Karanjkar, Vishal Salunkhe and Satish Bhatkhale planted the saplings.
10 saplings of neem tree were planted. Members of the organisation Dinesh Govil, Sanjay Kale, Prashant Varhade, Ulhas Gurule and others were present.
Meanwhile, Shivyuva Pratishthan planted and distributed tree saplings. It distributes more than 200 saplings of banyan, peepal and neem trees every year after reopening of the schools. Importance of tree planation is explained to the students.
The Pratishthan planted and distributed saplings in various parts of the city. Adv. Chandusheth Bhagatyani planted the saplings. Pratishthan president Pramod Mojad, Ravindra Gaikwad, Navnath Zombad, Umesh Godse and others were also present.
