Nashik: A man allegedly killed his mother-in-law and a minor son with a sharp weapon after taking them to an isolated spot opposite Choughule petrol pump in Ramwadi, Panchavati here.
The accused also took his father-in-law there and tried to kill him. Fortunately, he survived and is undergoing treatment at district civil hospital. The son-in-law had demanded money from his in-laws to pay his debt.
These murders took place over this, as per a prima facie report of the police. Suspect Motiram Dhondiram Badade (resident of Gangamalungi, Girnare) killed his mother-in-law Mandabai Dashrath Kharate (50, resident of Pathardi Phata) and Naitik Vishwas Lilke (8). His father-in-law Dashrath Kharate (60, resident of Pathardi Phata) was injured.
Suspect Motiram Badade took his mother-in-law Mandabai Kharate and minor son of his sister-in-law Naitik to an isolated spot opposite Choughule petrol pump from Pathardi Phata and killed them with a sharp weapon. He dumped their dead bodies in the bushes there.
Badade thereafter took his father-in-law Dashrath Kharate there and tried to kill him too, but he resisted him. Kharate received head and hand injuries in the attack. After suspect Badade escaped from the spot, Dashrath Kharate went to the police station where he reported the incident before the officials. Senior police inspector of Panchavati police station Dinesh Bardekar, police inspector Ananda Wagh, PSI Mahesh Ingole and Mahesh Kulkarni reached the spot.
Panchavati police are investigating into the case. Suspect Motiram Badade sells belts, wallets and other goods in CBS area. He was demanding money from his mother-in-law and father-in-law to repay his debt, but they could not give the money to him due to their poor financial condition. Motiram killed his mother-in-law and the son of his sister-in-law over this, police surmised. Panchavati police were registering a case of murder till late in the night.
