‘Make in Nashik’ is important for all round development of city: Mayor

Satpur : ‘Make in Nashik’ project is not related to industrial sector only, but as it is important for all round development of Nashik, NMC will provide cooperation through all corporators to this project, assured Mayor Ranjana Bhansi.

She was speaking in a meeting organised to interact with all the corporators in the city regarding ‘Make in Nashik’ project which has been organised at Nehru Centre in Mumbai on May 30 and 31.

Mayor Ranjana Bhansi, NIMA president Harishankar Banerjee, ‘Make in Nashik’ president Madhukar Bramhankar, NIMA general secretary Uday Kharote, corporators and NIMA member Shashikant Jadhav were present on the dais.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is scheduled to visit Nashik on May 28. All corporators will meet him regarding their participation in this project, the Mayor stated. Uday Kharote in his introductory speech tabled background of ‘Make in Nashik’ before the corporators. This project is receiving cooperation from every sphere. Corporators should make awareness about this project in their wards and provide their cooperation for this project, she urged.

Shashikant Jadhav urged corporators to erect hoardings in their wards. Efforts will be taken through this project to bring large investment in industrial sector in Nashik, he informed. President of ‘Make in Nashik’ Madhukar Bramhankar said that slow down in industrial area in Nashik is affecting all social angles. Large scale companies will be invited for making investment here through MoUs in this project. Besides this, embassy officials from various countries and export promotion organisations have been invited, he informed.

Uday Kharote proposed the vote of thanks. Satpur Prabhag chairperson Madhuri Bolkar, Nashik west Prabhag chairperson Dr. Hemlata Patil, corporator Dr. Varsha Bachhav, Hemlata Kandekar, Ravindra Dhivre, Alka Ahire, NIMA vice president Mangesh Patankar, former president Sanjiv Narang, Manish Kothari, executive body members of NIMA Amil Baviskar, Manish Raval and others were also present.
