Nashik/Igatpuri/Sinnar : Following strong opposition by farmers, district administration succeeded in receiving farmers’ nod to give their lands for Samruddhi expressway. Lands of 15 farmers from Igatpuri and Sinnar talukas were purchased. Compensation of Rs. 13 crore was credited into bank accounts of the farmers. 13 hectares of land was purchased in Sinnar taluka, whereas 2:091 hectares of land was purchased in Igatpuri taluka. Land purchase was inaugurated in principal presence of Divisional Commissioner Mahesh Zagade.
Samruddhi expressway project, which an ambitious project by the Chief Minister will be passing through Igatpuri and Sinnar talukas in Nashik district. Farmers across the district had showed their strong opposition to give their lands for 100-km stretch which is passing through the district. Still, there is opposition from some villages.
The administration had declared compensation rates for the project. Lands of those 15 farmers who gave their permission were purchased. 2:091 land was purchased in Igatpuri taluka, whereas 13.49 hectares of land of 12 farmers from 6 villages in Sinnar taluka was purchased.
District Collector Radhakrishnan B, special officer of road development corporation Kiran Kurankar, Deputy District Collector Vitthal Sonawane, prant official Rahul Patil, Mahesh Patil, tehsildar Anil Pure, Kailas Kadlag and registrar (secondary) R M Avhad purchased lands of farmers from Igatpuri and Sinnar. 2:091 land was purchased in Igatpuri and Rs. 4,31,15,569 was credited into bank accounts of owners, whereas Rs. 8.40 crore was credited into bank accounts of the farmers after purchase of land in Sinnar taluka.
Meanwhile, lands of Pandurang Dhanu Jahdav, Pandurang Jadhav and Santosh Pandurang Jadhav were purchased in Dhamangaon Shivar, whereas lands of Madhadu Dhamale, Dusangwadi, Rayaji Shinde, Yogesh Shinde, Vikas Shinde, Vilas Shinde, Dusangwadi, Vilas Shinde (Dhondvirnagar), Vijayabai Landge, Manoj Kasat, Hemant Kasat, Ashok Ghegadmal, Dnyaneshwar Shinde, Sukhdev Shinde (Wavi), Pankaj Althakkar (Datli), Waman Shinde, Sindhu Thorat, Nanasaheb Jorvekar and Waliba Badke (Sayale) were purchased in Sinnar taluka.
