Nashik: The election process for various committees in Nashik Municipal Corporation took place under Additional Divisional Commissioner Jyotiba Patil. Satish Kulkarni was elected as chairperson of medical assistance and health committee, whereas Shital Malode was elected as chairperson of legal committee and Bhagwan Donde was elected as chairperson of city reform committee. They were all elected unopposed. The city BJP chief and Mayor Ranjana Bhansi felicitated newly elected chairpersons and deputy chairpersons with bouquets.
The election process was held in the hall of standing committee. As Bharatiya Janata Party has majority in all committees, it was certain that all candidates would win the election. Accordingly, the election was held unopposed. The election process was conducted first to elect chairperson and deputy chairperson of legal committee, but candidates Shital Malode and Rakesh Donde were not present in the hall. Rulers called concerned candidates immediately. Thereafter, election was conducted.
Thereafter, Bhagwan Donde and Swati Bhamre were elected as chairperson and deputy chairperson of city reform committee respectively. They were elected unopposed. Later Satish Kullkarni and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena’s Yogesh Shevre were elected unopposed as chairperson and deputy chairperson respectively of health assistant and health committee.
Returning officer and Additional Divisional Commissioner Jyotiba Patil felicitated newly elected chairpersons and deputy chairpersons. Town secretary A P Wagh and assistant town secretary Gorakh Avhale oversaw the proceeding. Mayor Rajana Bhansi, MLA Balasaheb Sanap, Deputy Mayor Prathamesh Gite, standing committee chairperson Shivaji Gangurde, house leader Dinkar Patil, group leader Sambhaji Moruskar, former MLA Vasant Gite, corporators and office bearers also felicitated them.
