Nashik : Thousands of complaints related to bad condition of roads in rural area, corruption in various government works, uncontrolled functioning by MSEDCL, pension problem of retired etc were tabled before the District Guardian Minister during Janata Darbar. Taking note of these complaints, District Guardian Minister Girish Mahajan assured citizens to resolve them within 15 days. The complaints will be resolved taking into account their forms. As a result, some complaints will be resolve within a month, he added.
The Janata Darbar was organised in presence of the District Guardian Minister at Niyojan Bhavan in district collectorate to resolve civic problems, complaints and difficulties. MP Harishchandra Chavan, ZP chairperson Shital Sangale, MLA Balasaheb Sanap, MLA Rahul Aher, MLA Devyani Pharande, MLA Narhari Zirwal, MLA Anil Kadam, Divisional Commissioner Mahesh Zagade, District Collector Radhakrishnan B, Municipal Commissioner Abhishek Krishna, district SP Sanjay Darade and officials of various departments were present.
Highest complaints were received against Public Works Department, Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd. and malfunctioning in government offices. Roads in rural area are in very bad state. A demand was made to provide attention to them. A period of one year had passed after Union Highways and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari performed bhoomipoojan of Ozhar-Pimpalgaon route on Nashik-Pimpalgaon national highway. The work has not began yet, it was stated.
A complaint was made that land for four laning of Dahava Mail to airport route was acquired, but next action has not taken yet. Roads are in bad state in many parts and there is rise in number of accidents due to this. They should be repaired immediately. Fund should be approved for these works, it was demanded. When asked about this to concerned department it was informed that works were stopped as contractors boycotted works due to GST. Momentum will now be provided to these works, it was assured.
The District Guardian Minister instructed to complete delayed road works immediately. ZP member Amruta Pawar demanded to approve road works through Mukhyamantri Gramsadak Yojana. Member Siddharh Vanarase stated that roads are in bad condition and demanded to approve works of Rs. 400 crore. Orders have been issued that concerned mechanism should check these proposals and take action.
Citizens expressed their strong anger over anarchy in functioning of MSEDCL. Citizens from rural area are receiving excessive electricity bills and functioning in MSEDCL is solely responsible for this, it was alleged. Meter reading has not taken in time.
There is no electricity in village since last eight days as new transformer has not installed yet, complained farmer Vishnu Domse from Bolthan in Niphad taluka. A tribal citizen received electricity bill of Rs. 27,000. Taking note of all these complaints, the District Guardian Minister rebuked MSEDCL officials and asked them to resolve complaints within two days and table report.
Complaints regarding corruption in gram panchayat, misappropriation in fund at gram panchayat, ill treatment by government officials and anarchy in Jalyukt Shivar Abhiyan were tabled in the Janata Darbar. The District Guardian Minister ordered concerned mechanism to resolve all these complaints within 15 days. Citizens should register their complaints at my public relations office, Mahajan urged.
