Nashik: Nashik Municipal Corporation and city police jointly decided to construct rotary parking to resolve traffic problem in the city. NMC floated tender process for this work thrice, but as there was no response, there is a brake to this currently. NMC administration has decided now to change rules and conditions in tender process.
The then Municipal Commissioner Dr Pravin Gedam had decided to construct rotary parking like foreign countries to resolve traffic problem in the city. Tender process regarding this was floated immediately for construction of 12 rotary parking, but there was no response by any contractual company despite tender process was floated thrice.
As contractors turned their back to the tender process, NMC administration has started to reconsider about rules and conditions in it.
The then Municipal Commissioner had prepared a proposal to construct 14 rotary parking at 12 locations in the city. NMC has fixed district collectorate, district court campus, near Lions Club in Pandit Colony, near veterinary clinic at Ashok Stambh, Shalimar and Saraf Bazaar.
The rotary parking will also be constructed under smart city project at Rajiv Gandhi Bhavan, Indrakund, Nimani Chowk, Malegaon Stand and Somani garden, Nashik Road. As there was no response by contractors to this, there is brake to this scheme currently.
