Admin undertakes easy crop loan drive for farmers

Nashik : As Nashik District Central Cooperative Bank is in critical condition financially, kharip season is likely to be affected. Farmers are worried as they are not getting loans from the district bank. Nashik district administration has undertaken an easy crop loan drive to provide relief to the farmers. Conventions will be organised in the district and crop loan will be made available to the farmers from nationalised banks. Loan upto Rs. 1 lakh will be approved on the spot, informed District Collector Radhakrishnan B.

A meeting of officials of all nationalised banks was conducted recently under the District Collector. As per discussions held in this meeting, it was decided to conduct this drive. The district bank is in critical condition due to non-recovery of crop loan. As teachers are not getting their salaries, they are facing hardship.

Currently, preparations are going on for upcoming kharip season. Farmers are expected to get crop loan for this season. If crop loan is not available, this season is likely to be wasted, it is being feared. Considering this it was decided in the meeting to conduct easy crop loan drive in the district to provide immediate relief to the farmers.

The District Collector stated that conventions will be organised at village level to provide crop loans to eligible farmers after coordination by cooperation department with nationalised banks. Orders have been issued that deputy assistant registrar should provide immediately villagewise lists of those farmers eligible for crop loan for nationalised and private banks in jurisdiction of concerned village.

Orders have also been issued that to conduct conventions after meeting tehsildars and deputy divisional officials. It has been asked to make announcements in the villages before organisation of these conventions. District Collector Radhakrishnan B expressed his desire to make loan available for around 1 lakh farmers through this drive.

It is mandatory for deputy assistant registrar, branch managers of nationalised banks and private banks, their representatives, circle officials, talathi of concerned village, lawyers and sub-divisional officials to attend this convention.

Two photographs, 8 A extract of total farmland, 7/12 extracts as per 8 A, boundaries of all groups and NOC from society will be required to get the loan of Rs. 1 lakh.

Two photographs, ration card, electricity bill, domicile certificate, 8 A extract of total farmland, 7/12 extracts as per 8 A, amendments in boundaries of all groups, 6 D notes and search report issued by authorised lawyer will be required to get the loan above Rs. 1 lakh.
