Nashik: As many as 1.92 lakh forms have been filled up online from Nashik district to get crop loan waiver. Administration has received information that 2.41 lakh farmers in the district are eligible for the crop loan waiver. Jalgaon district is leading in filling up of the online forms. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis during a video conferencing had ordered the District Collectors of those districts which are lagging behind to provide special attention to this.
The state government has instructed that the forms be filed online before September 15. Accordingly, work is going on to get forms from all eligible farmers fill up. Efforts are being taken to regularise online mechanism at all service centres. Following technical snags in online process, forms were filled up offline. Later these were made online.
Forms are being filled up at 1072 service centres in the district for loan waiver under Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Shetkari Sanman Yojana 2017. Aaple Sarkar kendra, citizen facilitation centre, Sangram kendra, district central cooperative banks at some locations and Vividh Karyakari Seva Sahkari Sanstha are part of them. The facility to fill up the forms online has been made available free. Centres will continue to function until filling up of forms by all the farmers is complete.
As per government decision, 2.41 lakh farmers have become eligible for the crop loan waiver. Out of these, number of farmers who have taken loan upto Rs. 1.5 lakh is 90,931. A fund of Rs. 656.61 crore will be required to provide the loan waiver to these beneficiaries. The number of farmers who have taken more loan than Rs. 1.5 lakh is 33,377 and loan of 7900 farmers has been restructured. The number of farmers who have taken loan from nationalised banks is 89,000, whereas number of farmers who have account in the district central cooperative bank is 1.64 lakh.
